A Day of Good Food, Fresh Air & Fun
Morning: No-Bake Peanut Butter Energy Bites
Breakfast was No-Bake Peanut Butter Energy Bites—a quick mix of peanut butter, oats, honey, and chocolate chips. Super easy, no hassle, and my daughter enjoys making them just as much as eating them.
Lunch & Park Time
For lunch, we made DIY Pizza Toast—simple but always good. After eating, we went to the playground park for a bit. I walked a few laps while my daughter ran around, climbed, and played. Sometimes she’d join me for a lap, other times she was completely in her own world. I’d jump in here and there, but mostly, she did her thing while I got my walk in.
Evening: Watching Snow White
We had tickets for the 6:15 PM screening of Disney’s new live-action Snow White at Hoyts. We booked the daybeds in the Xtreme Screen, so we packed blankets, pillows, and plenty of snacks—because what’s a movie night without snacks?
Our Thoughts on the Movie
The movie was mostly true to the original 1937 version, but with a few modern updates. Rachel Zegler played a solid Snow White, keeping the character’s kindness and sincerity while making her a bit more independent. There were some new songs, but none that really stood out.
Some changes felt unnecessary, and the way the dwarfs were handled was a bit odd, but overall, it was still an enjoyable watch. I’d give it a 7.5 out of 10, which seems to be close to what others are rating it.
End of the Day
We got home at 8:23 PM, and my daughter was off to bed not long after. It was a pretty laid-back day—some good food, fresh air, fun, and a relaxed movie night to end it.
